Physical properties of fluids, fluid statics; integral and differential equations of conservatino of mass, energy, and momentum;
principles of real fluid flows: boundary layer effects, flow through
pipes, flow in open channels, drag forces on bodies. |

| Prerequisite:
ME 190 and Math 198. Graduate credit for students in earth and environmental sciences. |

| Usually undergraduate students from Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Engineering Science during the junior year. |

This course is intended to provide a foundation in the principles of fluid mechanics with emphasis given to applications of fluid mechanics theory to civil engineering problems. |
